Growing Up or Something.

Well, yesterday I celebrated my 25th birthday! I feel old (sorta) but also kind of awesome that I’m a quarter of a century! It was a pretty good day, I heard from a lot of friends and family which made me feel blessed. I also got to eat some awesome, awesome cake. It was a pretty good birthday…oh I also, in keeping with tradition got to ride. It was a short ride in my shorts and barefoot, bareback but it counts!

Today, Todd and I helped pack the truck and send off our best friend, Jon, who is moving to Jacksonville, Fl. Our other best friend, his girlfriend, Michelle, moved down there at the end of May. It’s hard to see them leave but now at least we have a reason to visit Florida!

It’s put into perspective growing up, seeing friends move away, and that soon, very soon, I’m going to have start acting like a grown up (at least some of the time!)

For now though, I’m going to think about the great ride I have planned for tomorrow and the great memories I’ve had with some wonderful people!

I hope everybody is enjoying their summer and is getting to plenty of horse show!

Back to Basics at Rods Western Palace

Everybody needs some basic pieces to their show wardrobe, especially a simple white show shirt! It goes with everything, including any color horse, tack, and show blanket! Here are my favorite picks from Rod’s Western Palace!

Regularly priced, the White Beaming Rhinestone French Cuff Blouse is $129.00 but right now Rod’s is offering it on sale for $79.99. It has shimmery, silvery appearance and can add a lot sparkle in a classy way.

Next, for only $59.95, is the Rhinestone French Cuff Blouse. It’s tailored with darts, has rhinestone buttons and french cuffs. It’s a simple and stylish shirt!

Rod’s White Solid Twill Long Sleeve Blouse at $39.95, is a classic. A button down shirt is an inexpensive way to buy a show shirt yet still look professional. Rod’s even offers a monogramming option for an additional $6.00. This is great shirt for those states requiring white shirts for 4-H!

AJPHA YWCS – Live Broadcast!

YWCS – Live Broadcast.

Sorry for being so late to the show! The AJPHA Youth World Championship Show started June, 24 and will continue until July, 2! Enjoy watching it live and cheering on the top youth in the nation! (Sorry, I didn’t post it sooner!)

This Weekend!

Well, I’ve started gathering all the items that will be in the horse show kits. I’m pretty excited about it because I’ve been trying to get the best prices on the best products I can. You know, it’s something everybody can put together on their own, but it’s a lot easier and a great way to save a little cash to have somebody else do all the bargain hunting for you! Right now, I am putting together the first 3 kits which will be available by the end of the summer. I’m also considering ways to personalize them as much as possible!

In other news, it’s been a nice weekend full of catching up on cleaning and good food! I also spent part of Saturday morning at the Civil War Days event in town. It was a great time and I even talked to Lincoln for a while. I look forward to riding, bbq-ing and spending some time with Todd for the rest of today!

I love the simplicity but the vibrant colors! The price is pretty great too! Add a few more black crystals on the body and collar to make it really stand out!

The lower leg portion is made of powermesh eliminating bulk and seams under your boots and adding a lot of comfort. The breeches also feature an ‘ab panel’ to keep you looking nice and slim (does anybody but twigs¬† look nice and slim in breeches?) Check them out while the offer lasts!

About My Favorite Show Pants…Again

So, I’ve written a couple of posts about Mesquite show pants already, but I’m pretty sure, I’ve never given some resources on where to find these pants! Well, sometimes they are tricky to find, but here is a list of places you can order them online!
