The Tin Specialist, “Ozzy” is a 2004 Overo Gelding, owned by my mother. I have been showing him in open events the last couple of years. He excels primarily in english events with his super long legs. In just 8 shows, Ozzy and I accomplished our goal of earning our Pinto Champion #2781. This year though I will be focusing on my mare, I will still be showing Ozzy in some english classes!
Yukon Classic, “Milo” is a 1995 Overo Gelding. When I turned 18, I took over all board and bills for him. After a couple of years of proving I am responsible about taking care of my horses, his papers were put in my name. Milo has been in our family since he was a 4 year old and we’ve done a lot together. Though he’s a bit goofy he has been truly one of my best friends. He’s been shown in many events and even allowed me to attempt Cowboy Mounted Shooting with him (it was interesting).
Ima Chocolate Treat, “Tango” is a 2005 Tobiano mare sired by Will Spot Ya. Her great grandsire is Zips Chocolate Chip. Tango is the very first horse I have purchased completely on my own. I bought her as two year old and I have had to be patient with what I can afford as far as training and showing. This year we plan to start competing in all around events rather than just halter and showmanship. She’s a feisty, little lady but she has amazing potential as a western horse!
