Heartland Rail Western Pleasure Showmanship Halter Reining Jacket Shirt Large | eBay.
I just received a really nice comment from Heartland Show Apparel. So, I thought I’d put up one of their great shirts listed on eBay right now! I love the pattern in this jacket! The color combination reminds me of a lot of the ‘tribal’ patterns and colors that are hot right now in regular fashion.
Corral Boots are expensive. But. Sometimes, they go on sale. And. They have my size. For $179.00, the Crackle Cognac Cowgirl Boots are lovely! I would really, really like to buy them. I need new boots. I haven’t bought any in at least a year. That’s a long time for me.
I guess, for the moment (pay-day is Friday and I have ’til then to decide if I can justify them) I will just have to day-dream…and skip class. Oops. I have senioritis. Bad. Thank God this class has 10 day absent policy. I’m on day 5 (maybe 6). I’m still good, right?
I’m terrible about not only taking photos but getting photos posted too. You’re in luck today though! Here a few updates on previous posts. Not too long ago I wrote a post about Long Manes and my trials with Tango’s. Well, I’d been doing a well-conditioned running braid for a while but I have recently abandoned it. For whatever reason no matter if it’s a tight or loose braid, it doesn’t end well. She gets it loose and loses a bunch in just a day or two. So, I think I’m going to end up sticking to what made her mane long in the first place, good ole conditioning and leaving it be. (I’ll try this for a bit anyway until I get bored and think I have to do something with it.)
Another photo update I have for you involves my horse show kit. I think I was a bit too ambitious with the idea and quite frankly didn’t really offer anything unique. Well, in my quest to find something cool and pretty to put the kits into I discovered there aren’t really any non-tacky, inexpensive, horsey carrying bags. As, somebody who thinks they can sew, I immediately came up with the idea of horse themed cosmetic bags. Here’s a picture of the constructed but not sewn first attempt. It turned out well and can be customized with hand-embroidery. I’ll be filling them up with some essential horse show items too! What do you think? I’ve already completed this one and have been using it myself. I love it!
I thought I would do a little price comparison just for fun. It’s a “look for less” post, show clothing edition! I was just looking through the jackets on the Carolina Beverly Hills website and saw a jacket that had the same look as one I had just seen on eBay. The one costs $2900 and the other is up to $150 right now. That’s a huge difference in price! What you’re buying with the boutique jacket is a lot of extra glitz and maybe a better fabric. The eBay jacket is made by a well-respected seamstress but has a lot less glitz to it. Your best bet? If you’re trying to save money, live on a budget, or just don’t want to invest thousands on a jacket…go for the eBay version! Add your own crystals if extra sparkle is a must. Overall, you’re going to get the same look without spending the cash!
Day dreaming about the expensive clothes while finding similar cuts, colors, and patterns in less expensive ones is my favorite way to shop!
I’m processing samples today, which means I have periods of down time where I can’t leave the lab! So in between changing solutions, I’ve been looking around the internet things. I emailed the very nice people at Majesty’s Animal Nutrition about Chasteberry/Vitex wafers. They were kind enough to email me back within a few hours to let me know it was an idea they would look into (awesome!).
I’ve also been working on my ‘show guide’ which will go out with my horse show kits. In the process, I started looking at button down shirts at Sheplers. I have to say, I love their selection. Check out the pictures below of the shirts I really liked and that are available! Some were even on sale for around $15.00!
